Guts on the Brain

July 16, 2008

Next time you feel like you’ve got knots in your stomach, check out the gorgeous spinning skills of artist Sarah Illenberger, who knit this delicate brain seen at left, as well as heart-meltingly beautiful intestines. Also on the knit guts scene are Conny Kuilboer, who did this heart in a box and Jonathan Rockford, who made the stomach surgery scene at right. Can you say knit kidney knit kidney three times fast? They are pretty much the most gorgeous innards we’ve ever laid our eyes on, especially the brain, but then again, look who’s telling me that. Jezebel + BoingBoing via Craft.

This is NOT mine, but I wanted to point this listing out. I found her listings on Etsy awhile back and drooled all over this dissected lab rat and her equally cool dissected frog.
